1 Before you use it
What it is
Metadata only. Seven movement patterns — deep squat, hurdle step, in-line lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight-leg raise, trunk stability push-up, rotary stability — each scored 0–3, with clearing tests.
When to reach for it
When a service already uses it. For an MSK placement, task-specific testing relevant to the presentation is more informative and costs nothing.
2 Giving it
Scoring
Seven items, 0–3, totalling 0–21. Higher is better. Requires the kit and, for standardised scoring, certification.
What it doesn’t measure
Predict injury reliably, or diagnose anything.
3 Reading the score
Interpreting it
No verified predictive figures are carried in our library and none are printed here.
The honest position: its use as an injury-prediction tool is contested, and a composite score of 14 has been widely quoted and widely challenged. Treat it as a movement-quality description, not a prediction.
Is the change real?
Student trap. Quoting a composite of 14 as an injury-risk threshold. That figure is contested and shouldn't be used to gate anyone.

This is a learning tool. It does not diagnose patients and does not replace your clinical educator.
