MOXFQ · Manchester-Oxford Foot Questionnaire

16 items · 5 min · 0–100 per domain · lower is better

Licensed — we carry the score, never the form

1 Before you use it

What it is

Metadata only. Sixteen items across three domains — walking/standing, pain, and social interaction — developed for foot and ankle surgery outcomes.

When to reach for it

When it appears in orthopaedic foot and ankle correspondence. For your own baseline use FHSQ or FFI.

2 Giving it

Scoring

Three domains, each 0–100. Higher means worse.

What it doesn’t measure

Foot posture, footwear or ankle instability.

3 Reading the score

Interpreting it

The social interaction domain is the distinctive part.

Is the change real?

MCID about 13 points on each of the Walking/standing, Pain and Social interaction domains. Compare the change against this patient's own baseline as well as the figure. SourceMeasured in foot and ankle surgery.

Student trap. Assuming the Oxford foot questionnaire works like the Oxford hip and knee scores. Different structure, opposite direction.

Licensed through innovation.ox.ac.uk. We don't host the form.

Use instead: FHSQ — same construct, no licence.

This is a learning tool. It does not diagnose patients and does not replace your clinical educator.
